Yes. Mondo provides all scheduled in-country transportation included in your itinerary, including airport transfers, private transportation between destinations, and transportation for activities and excursions.
Absolutely. Our tours are designed to help travelers experience Costa Rica in a deeper, more immersive way — whether it’s your first visit or your fifth. With guided experiences, local insight, and thoughtfully planned itineraries, we make it easy to explore with confidence.
We recommend packing comfortable lightweight clothing, walking shoes or hiking sandals, swimwear, sun protection, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. Some tours may have additional recommendations depending on the activities and region, and we’ll provide a detailed packing guide before your trip.

Not at all. Many of our expeditions are designed for beginners and first-time participants. Whether you’re a student, solo traveler, educator, or simply someone passionate about nature and conservation, our team will guide you through the experience every step of the way.
Yes — that’s a core part of the Mondo experience. Depending on the expedition, participants may assist with activities like wildlife monitoring, biodiversity research, habitat restoration, marine conservation, and ecological data collection alongside researchers and local partners.
Some of our marine-focused expeditions do require participants to have an active scuba certification prior to arrival, particularly those involving underwater research, diving, or marine conservation work.
Other experiences may include snorkeling, coastal exploration, or land-based conservation activities and do not require certification. Specific requirements will always be clearly outlined on each expedition page.
