From Rainforest to Chocolate Bar

Chocolate has deep roots in Costa Rica’s culture, history, and connection to the land.

This guided tour takes you behind the scenes of a working regenerative farm where cacao, coffee, sugar cane, and other crops are grown with sustainable practices designed to support both biodiversity and local livelihoods.

As you walk through the property, you’ll learn how different crops grow together within a healthy ecosystem and discover how regenerative agriculture helps restore soil health, conserve water, and create habitat for wildlife. Along the way, you’ll see each stage of the cacao production process, from harvesting ripe cacao pods and extracting the beans to drying, roasting, and transforming them into chocolate.

More than a farm tour, this experience provides a meaningful connection to the people, traditions, and landscapes that shape rural Costa Rica. Discover a side of the country that many visitors never have the chance to experience.

We offer airport transfers and transportation for Mondo tours and day trips in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles driven by knowledgeable bilingual drivers. Our fleet accommodates up to 12 guests plus luggage, with transportation by bus, van, or 4×4 depending on the experience.
