Cloud forests are among the most unique and biologically rich ecosystems, and home to an incredible diversity of plants, birds, mammals, and amphibians found nowhere else on Earth.

This guided hike follows winding trails through rich cloud forest, past towering trees draped in mosses, orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. Along the way you’ll visit cascading waterfalls, and get a chance to take a dip in the Rio Peñas Blancas, the cleanest river in Central America.

Accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide, spot wildlife hidden within the forest canopy and understory, while sharing stories about the region’s ecology, history, and conservation efforts.

This immersive experience offers a deeper understanding of one of Costa Rica’s most treasured ecosystems and the important role it plays in protecting the country’s extraordinary biodiversity.

We offer airport transfers and transportation for Mondo tours and day trips in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles driven by knowledgeable bilingual drivers. Our fleet accommodates up to 12 guests plus luggage, with transportation by bus, van, or 4×4 depending on the experience.
