From misty cloud forests and highland páramo to coastal mangroves and lowland rainforest, you’ll travel throughout the country, experiencing a wide variety of habitats and wildlife while visiting some of Costa Rica’s most important private reserves and conservation areas.

Over the course of the expedition, you may explore:

  • High-elevation cloud forests and mist-covered mountains
  • Remote rainforest reserves teeming with wildlife
  • Coastal mangroves and wetland ecosystems
  • Biological corridors and reforestation projects
  • Rivers, beaches, and tropical lowland forests

Along the way you’ll stay in a range of unique accommodations, from remote biological research stations deep in the forest to boutique eco-lodges surrounded by nature. Every stop provides an opportunity to connect with local conservation initiatives, researchers, naturalist guides, and the ecosystems themselves.
