Conservation in Action on the Coast
This expedition takes place in Tortuguero, one of the most important sea turtle nesting sites in the world. Surrounded by dense rainforest, winding waterways, and remote coastline, this region plays a critical role in global turtle conservation.
You’ll spend your days and nights working alongside researchers and guides, getting to help with turtle conservation efforts in the field. Participate in beach patrols, monitor nesting activity, and, depending on the season, witness hatchlings make their way to the ocean.
The work is hands-on and often takes place after dark, offering a rare glimpse into one of nature’s most remarkable life cycles.
When you’re not in the field, you’ll take part in workshops, explore the surrounding environment, and experience life at a remote biological research station. With accommodations, meals, transportation, and guided conservation activities all included, everything is taken care of from the moment you arrive.
This is more than a trip — it’s an opportunity to contribute directly to conservation efforts and experience a natural event few people ever witness.
